This relaxation audio is a simple but powerful tool to help calm your mind, relax your body, and enhance your awareness of your inner source of wellness.
Unlike some guided meditations, this audio has no music in the backround. Rather than have your attention lulled into drifting "off somewhere", this audio uses a relaxed focus on the breath and a gentle awareness of body sensations to help you first connect to, and then release the resistance in your body while diverting your attention away from your stress inducing thoughts.
You will feel better after your very first listen, and used daily, you will notice a profound decrease in your emotional stress and physical tension.
Some Helpful Tips
Do your best to ensure you will not be interrupted for the duration of the audio - about 18 minutes.
Choose a relaxing, quiet environment, let others in your household know you wish not to be disturbed, and turn off your mobile phone.
It's best to be sitting upright, in a chair with your feet on the floor or sit on the floor in a comfortable crossed legged position.
You may also use the audio to help you fall asleep, in which case of course you can lie in your bed.
If you do not want to fall asleep, just before you begin the relaxation audio, set a gentle sounding alarm to go off in 20-25 minutes.
If you are new to meditation, it's natural that your mind may wander off periodically, just gently guide your attention back to the recording as needed. You will improve your ability to focus over time.
You may want to sit quietly for a few minutes after the audio has finished allowing for a longer silent meditation. If so, keep your eyes closed until you are ready to
